Frequently asked questions
Which parts of Athens do the chefs cover?
Almost everywhere in the basin — the centre, the southern suburbs (Glyfada, Voula, Vouliagmeni), the north (Kifisia, Marousi, Chalandri) and Piraeus. Each chef lists the areas they serve on their profile; if you are a bit farther out, any travel cost is calculated transparently at booking.
Can the chef cook in a small apartment kitchen?
Yes — most chefs are used to Athens apartment kitchens. On the booking form you note the equipment you have (oven, hob, fridge) and the chef adapts the menu accordingly.
How does booking a private chef in Athens work?
Pick a chef from the list, send a booking request with your date and number of guests, and our team confirms with the chef within a few hours. You pay online securely via Viva Wallet (card or IRIS bank transfer). If you cancel, refunds are processed automatically per our cancellation policy.
How much does a private chef in Athens cost?
Prices start at €45-60 per person for the base menu (without ingredients). Premium chefs or elaborate menus can reach €100-150 per person. Many chefs also offer an all-inclusive price with ingredients.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend at least 5-7 days ahead so the chef has time to design the menu and buy ingredients. For weekends and holidays, 2 weeks ahead is safer.
Does the chef bring the ingredients?
Up to your agreement with the chef. Most chefs offer both options: "I bring the ingredients" (priced as an all-inclusive package) or "you supply" (chef fee only). You discuss it on the platform before booking.
Does the chef clean up afterwards?
Yes. Every chef on the platform cleans the kitchen after the event — dishes, counters, stovetops. They leave the space the way they found it.
What if I need to cancel?
Free cancellation up to 7 days before the event. From 7 to 2 days, you get 50% back. Less than 48 hours, no refund. If the chef cancels, you get a full refund.
