How does payment work?

You pay online at the time of booking via Viva Wallet (card or IRIS instant bank transfer). All payment data is processed by Viva — we never store your card details.

What if the chef doesn't confirm my booking?

If the chef declines the booking within the first 24 hours, you get a full automatic refund via Viva. The refund appears on your card / IBAN within 1-3 business days.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Free cancellation up to 7 days before the event (100% refund). 7-2 days before: 50% refund. Less than 48 hours: no refund. If the chef cancels, you get a full refund.

Can I talk to the chef before booking?

If you need clarifications before booking, email us at team@bookyourcook.gr with the chef name and your questions. Once booked, an in-app chat thread opens automatically between you and the chef in the dashboard.

Does the chef bring the ingredients?

Your choice. Either the chef shops for you (the fee then includes ingredients), or you provide them at home (chef fee only). You'll agree on this with the chef before the event.

How early does the chef arrive?

Typically 60-90 minutes before mealtime, depending on menu complexity. The chef will confirm the exact arrival time once your booking is confirmed.

Does the chef clean up after the event?

Yes. All our chefs clean the kitchen after the event — dishes loaded in the dishwasher, counters, stove, fridge. They leave the space as they found it.

Which areas do you cover?

We launched with Athens, Thessaloniki, and high-tourism islands (Mykonos, Santorini, Crete). New areas are added as our chefs expand their coverage — check the city selector in search.

How is quality guaranteed?

Every chef goes through manual approval by our team: professional experience, menu samples, photos. Profiles publish only after passing the review. Customer reviews are added in upcoming releases.
